Trump Signals Joint Decision with Netanyahu Regarding Iran War
"I think it’s mutual…a little bit. We’ve been talking. I’ll make a decision at the right time, but everything’s going to be taken into account," Trump remarked when asked whether Netanyahu would have input on the matter during a brief phone conversation with a news agency.
Trump refrained from speculating on whether Israel might persist with its offensives after American strikes cease, adding: "I don’t think it’s going to be necessary."
The White House announced last Friday that it anticipated the conflict to endure for four to six weeks. However, this projection has shifted rapidly over the past week, and Trump has consistently avoided committing to a precise duration for the war.
Tensions across the region have intensified since the US and Israel initiated a major assault on Iran on February 28, resulting in over 1,200 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, more than 150 schoolgirls, and senior military figures.
Iran has responded with extensive missile strikes targeting American military bases, diplomatic sites, and personnel throughout the area, as well as multiple locations in Israel. The attacks have claimed the lives of at least six US service members.
