We have put tens of thousands of dollars into factory equipment because aftermarket programmers do not produce the same result on these cars, and customers should not have to settle for close enough.”

HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Bemer Motor Cars Invests in Factory Key Programming Equipment in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas — October 2026 — Bemer Motor Cars has invested in factory key programming equipment at its Houston facility. This gives its technicians dealer-level access to systems that pair, replace, and disable vehicle keys. The shop uses manufacturer platforms rather than aftermarket programmers, with the same equipment supporting control module programming and coding.
European vehicles use encrypted immobilizer systems, so a correctly cut key may still fail to start the car without electronic pairing. That pairing requires manufacturer software, which is why the shop performs in-house key programming for European vehicles in Houston, TX. Aftermarket programmers can produce incomplete results or introduce faults into vehicle security modules.
The shop's programming platforms include BMW ISTA, Mercedes-Benz Xentry, Porsche PIWIS, and Volkswagen and Audi ODIS. It also uses Jaguar Land Rover ToPIX and SDD, along with Volvo VIDA. Each manufacturer requires its own system, so BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi key programming involves separate procedures on separate platforms. These platforms also handle engine and transmission control units, immobilizer modules, and electronic ignition switches.
The work covers more than lost keys. The same platforms address no-start conditions, keys a vehicle no longer recognizes, and electrical faults that appear after collision repair. Every service the shop performs carries a warranty.
Bemer Motor Cars operates from a single five-acre site near the Galleria with 30 employees. The facility combines a service department, collision center, parts department, detail department, and pre-owned vehicle sales, and its technicians are factory-trained and ASE-certified. The shop serves drivers across the greater Houston area, including Memorial City, Katy, and Spring Branch.
