Renew Health Launches Behavioral Health Services with Intensive Outpatient Program

ROSWELL, NM, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Renew Health announced the launch of its Behavioral Health Services with an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), an evidence-based addictions treatment program for adults 18 and older with substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions, seeking effective care without stepping away from work, school, or family responsibilities.

The program pairs a structured group curriculum with individualized therapy over a course of care spanning approximately six months, designed to give clients the time and consistency that lasting behavior change requires.

“For nearly five years, Renew Health has focused on the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) side of addiction recovery. Now we are thrilled to bring our clients and community a best-in-class Behavioral Health program with our new Intensive Outpatient Program. This will undoubtedly change individual lives, families, and communities as we continue to work together to heal New Mexico.”
-Trent Carter, CEO of Renew Health

Behavioral health program built around accountability, community, and life skills

Renew Health's IOP is delivered by licensed professionals using trauma-informed, evidence-based practices that address both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Core components include:

● Group therapy: Three group sessions each week, totaling nine clinical hours, following a structured curriculum that builds peer support alongside clinical skills.
● Family group: One of the three weekly groups is dedicated to family education and involvement. Family members may attend when their relative is enrolled, keeping the setting focused and safe for everyone in the room.
● Individual therapy: Individual sessions scheduled according to clinical need, from weekly to as-needed, determined collaboratively by the client and their primary therapist.
● Community support integration: Active connection to 12-step and community support meetings, including AA, NA, Freedom in Recovery, and Celebrate Recovery, so clients leave the program with a sober support network already in place.
● Life skills: Curriculum includes a focus on self-sustainability, workforce development, and life skills, such as resume building, financial literacy, and accountability.

“As a licensed clinical social worker, with deep experience in the addiction recovery space, I am thrilled to lead this program and bring the Roswell community these vital behavioral health services. Our evidence-based curriculum combines a trauma-informed approach, family involvement, individual therapy, and life skills development.”
- Alexandra N. Hancock, LCSW, IOP Director

The IOP schedule is built to accommodate employment, education, and caregiving, giving adults access to a substantial level of clinical care while remaining at home and in their communities. Clients receive consistent group support paired with individualized therapy, active family engagement aimed at improving communication and healing, and a defined path to ongoing community support and relapse prevention.
